NAME

parsec.conf - Format of the central PARSEC configuration file

DESCRIPTION

The parsec.conf file is the central configuration file of the PARSEC framework. It describes fundamental properties of the benchmark suite such as aliases.

All PARSEC configuration files are executable bash scripts, which means that a large degree of freedom exists for writing these configurations.

PREREQUISITES

The parsec.conf configuration file does not have any prerequisites.

CONFIGURATION VARIABLES

The parsec.conf configuration file defines the following variables:
alias_*
An alias FOO is created by defining a variable with the name alias_FOO. Only strings that are allowed to occur in variable names of bash scripts can be an alias. The contents of the variable is a list of package names the alias is to be resolved to. The alias will be treated as equivalent to this list of packages.
alias_all
An alias with the special meaning that it must contain all packages exactly once.
group_*
The group to which a package FOO belongs is specified by assigning the group name to a variable with the name group_FOO. Every package must belong to exactly one group, and for each group there must be a subdirectory with the same name in the pkgs/ directory.
